Baby chicks and wood ~ picture heavy :)

These kiddos did fantastic at the spring concert on Tuesday.  So proud of them!

Some pictures from WIN (what I need)  Different activities for different students
Here some students are building structures and sight words.
These boys are working on a Coding app.

We are working on a rhyming activity.

This was a math activity in which we were working on sums to 10.

Once a week we partner read with our 4th grade reading buddies.

This week in science we started a new unit.  We are observing wood using our five senses.  This week's activities included sanding wood to change it's shape.  We also tried to sink wood by using some paper clips and rubber bands.  It was so fun to hear their conversations.

We also used eye droppers to observe what happens to wood when we drop water on it.  How does it change and does it absorb in or repel.

Sophie was the winner of this nice balloon hat, a yo yo and holder from our NED assembly.  The assembly taught us to "Never Give Up, Encourage Others & Do Your Best."

Bowie getting some lovin :)

Lastly, we were very excited to have Jo visit from the Hills Bank and bring some baby chicks.
