Day 100 FUN!!!!

What a fantastic Day 100 we had…  So many fun activities that we didn't even get them all done, so we will continue celebrating Day 100 on Day 101.  Here we are with our 100 glasses on and our 100 day collections.

Later in the afternoon we had 5 different stations…  Here we are stamping 100 apples in the apple tree with red paint from the end of a pencil.

Next we built structures with 100 red cups.

We also made trains 100 cubes and links long.

Then we all worked together and linked a paper chain together that was 100 links long.

Getting Pretty Big!!!

Working on a 100 piece puzzle.

We finished the day making a trail mix with different snacks, placing 10 of each of the 10 items on a plate to make 100 different pieces of food!!!!

Math Games

This week in math we used a deck of cards to reinforce number order, what comes before and after, how many noises they hear with their eyes closed, etc.

We also did a survey asking 10 of our friends who their favorite character from "The Mitten" was and here are the results.  Rabbit was their favorite character.

We also played a snowman dice game in partners.

One of the highlights of the week was Deputy Jason Slaubaugh coming in and bringing his K9 dog Joe with him.  We saw a video as to how the dog lives, then he talked a little about him and hid a toy that smelled like drugs.  Next Jason brought Joe in the classroom, and Joe sniffed all over the room until he found it in our blocks center.  It was pretty neat.  Friday was Joe's last day on the job as he was retiring.  Washington Co. will be getting a new K9 dog in the upcoming months.  So happy we were able to be Joe's last demo.
