Valentines Party

What a fun time celebrating Vday.  Here are our cute bags we decorated.  I love to see all the uniqueness in their special touches with the decorations.

For math we used our candy hearts as a measuring instrument to measure distances around pictures.

What they had been waiting for all day ~ time to dig into our valentines!

We finished the day playing a game of musical hearts.

Sledding and more

Last Friday we had the BEST time sledding as a reward for filling our bucket with PBIS tickets.  We couldn't have asked for better weather.  It was fantastic.  The kids had a wonderful time ~ as did staff.

You might be wondering how does this next picture even happens?!?!?!?!  Make sure to watch the video to see how.  Feel free to show your children as well.  IN fact feel free to show brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, neighbors, etc.  :)  It's also on the FRONT page of the Wellman Advance.  I will add that he was able to walk away on his own from this catastrophe.

This is how it should be done!!!

We were treated to hot cocoa when we came inside.

We had another furry visitor this last week.  Preston brought his dog Oden to visit us.  What a special friend!

Monday we went to the Post Office and mailed our Valentines.  Thank you for providing those.  The students were able to tour the back and even had the opportunity to "cancel" their stamp with a hand stamp.

On Tuesday we traveled to Foster Woods and had great weather to look for tracks, droppings and homes.

We played a game "Don't wake the Bear" in which we had some bears who are hibernating and we try to get across to the other side without waking them.  They loved this game as you can see.

Today in math we used some candy hearts to graph and sort and talk about which color we had the most and least amount of.
