This week in Chinese Mrs. Hussey worked with the students on how to hold chopsticks.  They had so much fun using them.

We also had a fun trip to the Post Office.

And then the much anticipated Valentines party...

Day 100 Part 2

To conclude our week of celebrating Day 100 we put stickers on a 100 chart after a number was called.

The highlight was probably the fashion show.  Such creativity!!!  I loved seeing all the shirts.

Katelynn chose 100 dots because it was easy for her to do and Cash chose 100 tally marks because he liked the design.

Greyson chose 100 smiley faces because he likes to be happy and Delayna chose 100 butterflies because she likes how they fly and they are pretty.

Lyndon chose 100 white pom poms because they made a great sheep for his mutton buster.  The shirt says "It was a hard ride to 100!"  Aden chose 100 smiley faces because he likes them.

Tessa chose 100 flower and bug buttons because she likes the bright colors and Eli chose 100 red and blue dots because those are two of his favorite colors.

Samaya chose 100 beads because they are beautiful and Myles chose 100 fire flames because he likes campfires and their colors.

Lilly chose 100 flowers because they are beautiful and Isabelle chose 100 fuzzy pom poms because they are colorful.

Parker chose 100 wiggly eyes because now he has super vision and Michell chose 100 dots because she likes them.

Gabriel chose 100 dinosaurs because they are his favorite and he likes to watch Jurassic Park and Chloe chose 100 star stickers because she is a star.

To end the day we made a 100 piece trail mix.  Such a fun week of celebrating DAY 100!

Day 100 part 1

I have learned over the past 5 years that there are just so many fun and engaging Day 100 activities to do that it is impossible to fit them all into one day.  Although Day 100 was officially on Monday, we will be celebrating with several activities throughout the week and end with our fashion show on Friday.

We made headbands on Monday.

Then we had different centers to move around to.  Here they are using a Q-tip to paint 10 groups of 10.

Stacking 100 cups to make different structures.

Using cubes to make a 100 cube train.

Working on a 100 piece puzzle.

Working on making a 1-100 paper link chain.

Rolling a dice and dabbing numbers all the way to 100.

For math we used stickers to cover up numbers that had been called on our 100 chart.

We looked for Hersheys' kisses and matched the numbers on the bottom to the number on the 100 chart.

More to come soon!
