Happy Halloween!!!!!

What a fun day we had at school...  some of the staff dressed up as Minions from Despicable Me, complete with Mr. Poock as Gru!!!!  The kids loved it!!!!

Thank you to all who brought in food/treats for our party.  We really enjoyed all of it and the fruit was the first thing to be gobbled up!  :)

We had a great math lesson...  We started off by reading a book, "How many pumpkin seeds."  We made an estimate as to how many seeds we thought would be in the pumpkin, dug them out, grouped them into groups of ten, and then counted them.  We ended up with 440 seeds!!!!!  More than we thought for sure!

Foster Woods & Firefighters

We learned a lot about Fire Safety from our local firefighters.  They talked to us about fire safety, showed us their equipment and we got to look at their fire trucks.

In math we worked on sorting buttons several different ways.

First we went on a scavenger hunt...

 Next we played a game called "hug a tree" in which a partner would lead us to a tree blindfolded then we would try to guess what tree we hugged.  Only a few smashed noses :)
