QU Wedding

We had a wonderful day celebrating the wedding of Mr. Q and Ms.  U.  We learned that Q and U are always together so they should be joined together in a wedding!  We decorated bow ties and crowns to wear to the special occasion.  They went very well with our lovely wedding attire!

We paired up with KB and went for a stroll before heading to the wedding.

We even enjoyed a piece of wedding cake.

I am so sad as this was just adorable.  My phone ran out of room, so I didn't get the whole class walking into the classroom.  It's just a tiny little teaser :(  Below you will find us celebrating and rejoicing to the chicken dance.  No wedding is complete without it!

Community

We had a great walking trip today walking downtown.  We went to the grocery store and toured back in the meat area and the cooler.  We also went to Hills Bank and heard about how they keep our money safe.  We concluded with a trip to the Heritage Museum to hear a little about the history of Wellman.

ABC SUMMER COUNTDOWN

We had a great time today starting our summer countdown.  Today was our first day.  We started it off with the letter Z and many of our lessons included Zoos.  We have 26 balloons hanging in the room with the letters of the alphabet on them.  This will visually remind the students how many days of school we have left and also help them see what letters we have coming up soon.  At the end of the day we will POP the balloon and count how many we have left.  Today Rylan was able to pop the balloon. As you will see in the video below ~ he may or may not have planned this little trick :)  

Library Visit

Today we took a trip down to the Wellman Public Library.  They gave us a tour of the building, we had a snack, listened to a few stories and did a craft.  

Last week when discussing different types of weather, we made windsocks to show the direction the wind of blowing.

SKATING!!!!

Skating

What a great morning of skating.  The kids were all so brave and for many this was their first time skating.  It was amazing to me how much progress could be seen from the first moments around the rink to the end.  They did fantastic!!!!  The limbo was the best ~ I had tears I was laughing so hard.  I will hopefully have a video soon to share.  In many of the pictures you will notice older children helping the younger ones.  They were so caring and thoughtful.  A fantastic morning was had by all of us!
