Walk-A-Thon
Our walk-a-thon a couple weeks ago was a huge success and we raised over $6000. Thanks so much for your support!
We also received a water bottle and some fruit snacks.
We are LOVING our new whiteboard tables. It's so nice to just pull out a marker and check their understanding of what we are learning.
Foster Woods
On Tuesday's and Friday's we have three high school student come in the afternoon to spend time with us. They are part of a child development class and we enjoy having the extra help in the classroom.
We had a great time and beautiful weather for our Fall trip to Foster Woods. We travel out to Foster Woods three times during the school year to observe how nature changes in the different seasons.
We played a game called Hug a Tree in which one friend was blind folded and led us to a tree. We touched the tree and gave it a hug to see how big it was. When the blind fold was off we tried to guess which tree our friend led us to.
We also went on a scavenger hunt on the trail.

Starting Daily 5
This week we started our daily 5 rotation and explored our literacy centers. It has quickly become a favorite part of the day.
Here we are at teacher table working on a "m" puzzle.
We take different baskets and work on the activity independently.
Gray center is a puzzle this week.
Yellow is a favorite center with the leapreader.
For write the room we put on our "thinking hats' and walk around the room looking for items to record.
