Week of November 14th

Here we are working on our "pets" book.  We cut out our sight words to make a sentence and glued them back in order.

Here are some of your new centers this week.  We worked on spelling out color words, then wrote them on paper.

Balancing with the pan balance.  We used playdough and bears and tried to make the balance, or even out.

Making "our family" book.

We have been talking about order words, or the sequence of events.  Today the students put the events of 'Pete the Cat' back in order.

For math we went and asked the 2nd grade friends in Mrs. Cayton's class a question (Do you like to eat turkey :)  We made tally marks for their answers, charted it, discussed and shared with the class our findings.  The kids really enjoyed this activity.

What a fun week we have had in Kindergarten!!!!

10/31 ~ HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Pam visited and talked to us about owls.  She read some facts about bats and we held up a smiley face if it was true and a sad face if it was false.

 Here we all are in our costumes.  They all looked great!

 Pam brought an owl that was mounted.  She had only had the owl for 6 months.

The kids got the pass the wings and claws around and feel them.

 Here we are working on our 5 little pumpkins activity.

 Our new friend ~ PETE THE CAT!!!!  You will be seeing more of him soon!

Monday 10/10

Had a great time at Foster Woods.  Here are some pictures to enjoy.

Here are the results from our apple taste testing.  Each student made an apple the color that was their favorite.  It was a close one with red winning.
